Use UPI Fee Calculator
Know your fees. Understand your receipts.
Separate UPI, provider charges and GST in one transparent estimate.
Monthly projections assume every successful transaction has this amount. No fee threshold is automatically applied at ₹2,000.
For an ordinary bank-account-to-bank-account UPI payment, this scenario assumes no transaction charges. A payment gateway’s separate technology or platform service is not included.
See what the fees add up to.
Subscriptions are modeled as a monthly business expense; they may be billed separately rather than deducted from settlement. No refunds, disputes, setup fees or other services are included.
What does another quote cost?
Understand what you’re estimating.
Does every UPI payment above ₹2,000 have a fee?
No. A threshold alone does not make a normal bank-account UPI payment chargeable. PPI-wallet interchange rules are distinct from ordinary bank-account UPI and are not a universal customer charge. Read NPCI’s UPI FAQ.
Why can a gateway show a fee when UPI has zero MDR?
Zero MDR and a provider’s technology/platform service fee are separate. Your gateway agreement may include service charges. Razorpay’s pricing page explains this distinction; actual pricing depends on your provider and plan.
How is GST calculated?
For exclusive quotes, GST is added to the provider fee, not to the payment principal. For inclusive quotes, the fee before GST is quoted charge ÷ (1 + GST rate). The same setting applies to subscriptions. The default 18% is an editable assumption; verify your invoice and applicable tax treatment.
How are rounding and monthly totals handled?
Each transaction’s fee and GST are rounded to paise first, then multiplied by the number of successful payments. Subscriptions and their GST are added once. Providers may use different invoice rounding, refunds and billing conventions. Net-to-gross mode excludes the monthly subscription.
